The Lull after the storm

Like spurt after spurt of water gushing
from  broken earth freshly dug up,
The eyes spill over with tears stinging
From an unspoken anguish freshly dug up

Like wave after wave of the angry ocean lashing
Unforgiving -like having a score to settle with the  shore
Wave after wave of  hot tears scalding
Unforgiving -like having a score to settle with the red rimmed eyes..

Like  thin fine lines on a  beautiful porcelain jar go creeping,
slowly breaking those careful shackles
To shatter that  fragile beauty into meaningless pieces..
A dull ache buried  somewhere deep in the heart goes creeping,
Ripping through that fragile beauty in wrenching sobs;
To leave a scattering of memories in meaningless shreds..

All through the raging storm..All through the howling unrest..

you wonder  why the earth doesnt stop gushing
you wonder  why the ocean doesnt stop lashing
you wonder  why the heart doesnt stop wrenching

And to leave u alone without a parting note
the sobs and the tears, the aches and the  pains,
All go away ,leaving empty ruins and dark tear stains
In seeming peace..
The lull after the storm..
